About the Study

The study’s intent was to look at the needs of the sport of cricket in the city over the next ten years. The aims of the study include an understanding of both current and future demand arising from population growth, immigration, and community interest in non-traditional sports, as well as ways to meet this demand by providing facilities that are financially affordable, environmentally sound and deliver the best value to city residents over the next decade.

    Hi! If this Feasibility Study seeks to answer that both whether a field is deemed necessary and, if so, where it should be.

  • Share It would be a great initiative. Kids can have more options during summer to be active. All kids activities are very expensive. Cricket will bring more variety and competition. I would love to see my kids playing Cricket here in Fredericton. I also play cricket and I can be active playing cricket here. Few questions: 1. If the city is planning to have a full facility? for example main pitch for playing cricket and the side pitch for practice, net and mat, and so on? 2. What about cricket in winter?     Thank you for your feedback! This is the exact reason we are undertaking the Current Cricket Field Feasibility Study --  to determine if a facility is required and if so what kind of facility that will meet the needs of Cricket in the City of Fredericton over the next ten years.
