Share your Input: Sharing Environmental Progress
Consultation has concluded
As part of advancing our Environmental Leadership initiative, we want to share with residents our progress on environmental targets and plans. While we already track several metrics on the file, a visual online dashboard will allow us to share those with you so you can easily view progress on the issues that matter the most to you when you want.
UPDATE: We asked you for your input on what you want to know about our environmental initiatives and you provided many ideas that helped us create the interim report you can read here and find out about the next steps in this project! In a nutshell:
- The project team has explored several options for an online prototype and will use an ESRI storyboard because it is visually appealing and the City already stores data on ESRI
- The project team is awaiting a funding decision to build the dashboard. We expect to have an answer by the end of May 2021
- If successful, the dashboard should be live in 2021
- In unsuccessful, budget will be requested for the project in 2022

In this section, you will see some of the data points that could be displayed on a future environmental dashboard. Please vote for the metrics you want to see on the dashboard by clicking the heart icon in the idea box. You can add additional comments about the metric by clicking on the word bubble in the idea box.
We will use the top ideas to populate the future dashboard.
Below are the metrics the City has suggested because:
- We already have the data required to report on them
- They relate to existing programs and plans
- They are in line with reporting in other communities
Please vote on any and all existing metrics with which you agree. Please suggest any additional metrics the City should consider (but be aware we may or may not have the data to support your request).
