Fall in Love with Fredericton
Consultation has concluded
What does Fall in Fredericton mean to you?
The beginning of fall is not only marked by the sea of yellow orange and red that floods into the Capital City, a shift in our day to day naturally takes place; hats and scarves emerge from our closets, words like “cinnamon” and “pumpkin” appear on sandwich boards outside of coffee shops and seasonal traditions are worked into our schedules.
What does this time of year mean to you? Have you always associated September with the sea of colorful leaves viewed from the top of College Hill, or perusing the fresh selection of seasonal produce at the Boyce Farmer’s Market, what about apple picking at a local orchard?
We would love to hear about what makes YOU -fall- in love with Fredericton! Feel free to submit a photo, story, poem, piece of artwork, or even share a song that reminds you of this season. Each week for the month of October, we will do a random draw from the submissions for a prize!

Fredericton could be more beautiful in the fall
by Helen Newman , over 5 years agoFredericton is a beautiful city in the fall but it could be stunning if the city planted trees along the street that turned red, orange or yellow. Douglas Avenue and Carrington on the North side are examples of streets that are stunning. Where I live on the hill there is what appears to be a mishmash of trees planted with little if any that turn colour in the fall. Something to think about-it could give Fredericton bragging rights as the city with the best fall colour in Canada, or even North America.

Fall in Fredericton.
by Charlotte Endall, over 5 years agoFall in Fredericton is such a rainbow of colors. It is like an artist pallet of paints. The leaves are such an array of colors. Then when us vasty winds & our rainy days have turned our beautiful leaves into a blanket of crushy leaves. Which take me back to my childhood days when we used to jump & play in a pile of leaves, just as my dad would have them all raked up in a pile. So from a rainbow of colors to a crushy pile of fun in Fredericton. <3Fall in Fredericton is such a rainbow of colors. It is like an artist pallet of paints. The leaves are such an array of colors. A slow walk along the Saint John River
listening to the water stream
taking in the crisp, fall air
letting it flow through
as the colours of the trees
fills the sky with beauty
mesmerizing as it clears
the body and mind

Best place to be!
by Stefanie Hoffmann, over 5 years agoIt's lovely to be in Fredericton in fall. With the changing colors, I do all kind of walks through Odell Park and along the river. As the weather is still warm and sunny, there is no better place to be. Even enjoying a good meal or coffee at one of the patios is great 😀

Fredericton has been doing great during the pandemic. Thanks to the government and all the people, we can enjoy the fall season and hug the nature!!!
