The City of Fredericton’s Community Energy and Emissions Plan (CEEP) will be a strategic plan to guide efforts in reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in our community. Think of this as ways to reduce the amount of electricity and natural gas we use in our homes and workplaces, the fuel in our cars, and waste from the products we buy.
As residents and businesses in Fredericton, our day-to-day activities and choices define the type of energy we consume, how much of it we use, and our climate change footprint as a result.
The CEEP will measure current energy use and emissions from all residential, commercial, and institutional sources and offer recommendations and solutions on how to reduce our overall consumption between now and 2050, with a particular focus on specific actions we can take now, and over the next ten years. Your input will help us develop recommendations that align with the community's vision and goals.
