Fredericton's new Performing Arts Centre will be a vibrant community space where everyone will be welcome. With construction set to begin this fall, the 72,000-square-foot state-of-the-art building will be a prominent anchor of our downtown thanks to its prime location at the corner of Regent St and King St. This modern building will open a world of exciting possibilities for all to enjoy, from large touring performances of today’s global artists, to ballet and Broadway, to music of every genre, to local arts groups who will be able to perform in the smaller studio at an affordable rate. Learn more by watching this video.

Hundreds of people have been included in the design process so far: Artists, business people, cultural workers, local experts in building design and planning, and local indigenous elders shared their opinions and provided direction on the design. And while the PAC's design is almost complete, we'd like your help on a couple of key elements. Please take our short (5 minutes) survey below and share your thoughts on:

  • The colour scheme in the PAC's lobby
  • The brightness level of the building's outside signage (name, marquis, promo boxes)

The survey will close on Friday, March 31 at 4:30pm.

We will also be hosting Open Houses on Sunday, March 26 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm and Tuesday, March 28 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the Crowne Plaza (659 Queen St). We hope you'll join us to learn more about the new Performing Arts Centre, talk to the architects who designed it, ask questions and provide your insights!

The design of the Performing Arts Centre is made possible in part by the Government of Canada.
